In a recent article on
"Celibate Chastity: an affair of the heart" the author,
Brother Sean Sammon,
asks,
“What does it mean to live as a chaste person in a cynical
world?”
We ask, “What does it
mean to live Religious Life and a vow of chastity in to-day's
world?”
The
answer:
To embrace the Religious Life and a life of celibate chastity
is both naive and foolish. Naive, because the choice defies
social convention; foolish because to embrace and live well the
Religious Life and a life of celibate chastity leads inevitably to a
revolution of the heart.
