Now meet the Community at Bethany

I am Sister Teresa Moore, one of a community of five living at 'Bethany', the House of Formation.
During the week I work in a full-time capacity at the Irish Welfare and Information Centre as a Welfare Worker, serving the needs of the Irish Community in Birmingham. I work in a front line office, based at Digbeth, near to Birmingham City Centre.
My role as Welfare Worker involves supporting, advising and giving information to Irish people on a whole range of issues. It also includes responsibility for the organisation of the Irish Elders Club, as well as some outreach work visiting the sick, lonely and elderly at home and in hospital.
My work is enjoyable and varied, though not without its problems at times. It gives me, however, a wonderful opportunity to meet such a variety of great Irish women and men who after hard working lives, now in their retirement are enjoying a good social life being members of the Irish Elders Club, known as the 'Tuesday Club'. I
have the privilege of sharing their good times at Socials, Day Trips and Holidays in Ireland, and I love every minute of it.

If you are struggling with questions about religious life, don't struggle alone, give us a call (0121 414 1648).
